Note : The specimens from Malaya and Sumatra seems to be different from those of Borneo, I have the impression that there are two different subspecies. In big males, the clypeus is more expanded in Bornean speciens than in those from Malaya and Sumatra.

Ø      Malaya : Pahang : Cameron Highlands, IV-1982 (2 males in coll. Mizunuma, Japan).

Ø      Malaya (2 males in coll. Taroni, Italy).

Ø      Borneo : W. Kalimantan : Putussibau (= Poetoes Sibau), VI-1894, Buttikofer leg. (1 male citated by Ritsema, 1895).

Ø      Borneo : W. Kalimantan : Putussibau, VII-1989 (1 male in coll. Mizunuma, Japan).

Ø      Borneo : W. Kalimantan : Putussibau, VI-1990 (2 males, 1 female in coll. Mizunuma, Japan).

Ø      Borneo : W. Kalimantan : Putussibau, III-1991 (2 males in coll. Mizunuma, Japan).

Ø      Borneo : W. Kalimantan : Sintang, ex coll. Candeze, ex coll. Institut Royal des Sciences naturelles de Belgique, id. as Cyclommatus dehaani by H. Boileau (1 female in coll. Museo Entomológico de León).

Ø      Borneo : E. Kalimantan : Bontang, IV-1988 (1 male in coll. Mizunuma, Japan).

Ø      Borneo : E. Kalimantan : Balikpapan, XI-1988 (1 male in coll. Mizunuma, Japan).

Ø      Borneo : E. Kalimantan : Samarinda, 2-VII-1989 (1 male in coll. Mizunuma, Japan).

Ø      Borneo : E. Kalimantan : Samarinda, 28-I-1990 (1 male, 1 female in coll. Mizunuma, Japan).

Ø      Borneo : ? : Mt. Liang Gagang, III-1894, Hallier leg. (1 male citated by Ritsema, 1895).

Ø      Borneo (male SYNTYPUS of Cyclommatus affinis PARRY, 1864 in Natural History Museum, London) (This specimen could be considered as Lectotype).

Ø      Borneo, Mus. Melly (male HOLOTYPUS of Lucanus De Haanii WESTWOOD, 1842 in Natural History Museum, London or Oxford Museum) (Ritsema 1892 states that the typus ex. Coll. Melly is in Museum of Geneve, Swizerland).

Ø      Sumatra : Nias I. (Citated by Parry, 1864).

Ø      Sumatra : Mentawai Is. : Siberut I., V-1993 (1 male in coll. Mizunuma, Japan).

Ø      Sumatra : Mentawai Is. : N. Pagai I. (citated by Mizunuma & Nagai, 1994).

Ø      Sumatra : W. Sumatra : Sitiung, 1°00 S – 101°38 E, V-1997, leg. Widagdo (1 male in coll. Museo Entomologico de Leon, Nicaragua).

Ø      Sumatra : Jambi Prov. : Bangko, 27-III-1987 (1 male in coll. Mizunuma, Japan).

Ø      Sumatra : ? : Deli (Citated by Ritsema, 1892).

Ø      ? Java : Bandong : Sijthoff (2 males citated by Ritsema, 1892, who states that the locality is probably wrong).

Ø      ? Philippines (male SYNTYPUS of Cyclommatus affinis PARRY, 1864 in Natural History Museum, London). Ritsema (1892) and Boileau (1898) argue that this specimen could be in reality Cyclommatus zuberi.

Ø      ? Philippines : Mindanao I. : Mt. McKinley : east slope, XII-1946, second growth forest, col. H. Hoogstraal & F. Werner (2 males citated by B. Benesh, 1958) (Bomans & Benoit, 2005, states that this locality is erroneous, it was induced by the locality Philippines by Parry 1864 for Cyclommatus affinis).

Ø      ? Philippines : Mindanao I. : Mt. Apo, 7°08N-125°09E, east slope, alt. 2800 Ft. (Todaya) and 4300 Ft. (Camp Mainit), X/XI-1946, col. H. Hoogstraal & D. Heyneman (1 male, 1 female citated by B. Benesh, 1958) (Bomans & Benoit, 2005, states that this locality is erroneous, it was induced by the locality Philippines by Parry 1864 for Cyclommatus affinis).

Borneo : Sintang (in coll. Museo Entomologico de Leon, Nicaragua).
