Note : Oberthur & Houlbert (1914) consider faunicolor and vanrooni as two species from Java and differing in the epistome, this is triangular in faunicolor and semi-circular in vanrooni. It could be that both faunicolor, maitlandi and vanrooni are the same species with different subspecies, and with big males with semi-circular epistome and smaller males with triangular epistome, need a long serial to define this.
